List of books on my list to read:

  • Journey to the center of the earth (about half way into the book)
  • 20,000 leagues under the sea
  • Minority Report (Phillip K. Dick)
  • Dearly Devoted Dexter (Jeff Lindsay)
  • Vampire Le-Stat
  • The Queen of the Damned
  • Sword of truth - Wizards Rule
  • Bhagwad-Gita - As it is (on and off)
Srimad bhagwad-gita (Comparing with As it is)
  • 10,000 years of Ancient Indian History - book I found at Akshardham in Delhi, when I was there late last year. (on and off reading)

All the books that I have read, are also listed in the order I read them in. As I finish reading a book, I then watch the movie (if one exists). Most of the time then books are better than the movie. With LOTR both  the books and movies were excellent. However there are some movies that are much better than the book. Like Stardust, in my opinion, the movie was much better then the book  and the same goes for the TV show Dexter. I give full credits to the author, but the TV show is much better. The book is only one sided view whereas the TV episodes of dexter, show all views.  I think this would have had to happen otherwise the TV show would not have taken off.

I have just recently read Eragon and re-watched the movie. Once again the book was much better then the movie. But I also didnt think that it was like the LOTR. Some people had said, when the movie was first released, that it was too much like LOTR. The book is now where near like LOTR. It has its own story, places and emenies. Yes it was about dragons and Elves. I guess this could have been the reason why people thought that it was similar to the LOTR.

I cant wait till the movie Angels and Demons comes out and ofcourse the movie The Subtle Knife.
