Twilight Review (book and Movie)

I finished reading the book, Twilight by (Stephanie Meyer). At first I didn’t know this book was for teens. I just like reading vampire book so I’d thought i’d give it a go before watching the movie. The book was absolutely boring. It may have been targeted at a different audience, but it was boring. Not only there was no excitement, or even a little bit of mystery, but it really had no story, no substance.
Bella, the main girl whose experiences that are written about, focuses more on her feelings and her day to day with being in love with a vampire. There is a bit of background about the vampires and the Cullen family. But it introduces a new genre of vampires. The ones that can go out in the sunlight and sparkle. Have no fangs. Just dead people, brought back to life, with extreme superhuman abilities.
I have read many vampire books, my fav has to be Anne Rice, Vampire Chronicles and Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris. Lots of excitement, and adventure and vampires. This book is about relationships and emotions that go with it. If this book didn’t have the vampire or Cold Ones in it, it would be just your average love story.

Firstly, I don’t know why this book was made into a movie, and god knows there is no much hype about it. This is another movie where the movie was better than the book, even though it seemed like it was rushed. It tried to have a little bit of mystery and adventure, but to be regarded as a vampire flick, it didn’t pull it off. Most of the movie was boring, just like the book. The actors did a good job. They played thier parts good, and showed the emotions as described in the book.
The direction of the movie was ok and great scenery. The special effects was nothing special and once again, didnt explain how they can withstand the sunlight. Since the vampires didn’t have fangs, it just didn ‘t feel like a vampire flick. The TV show, True Blood, based on the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, is a much better vampire show.
In my opinion, they are wasting time and money, is doing the next movie, which is known as New Moon. This one is about the werewolves.
