Balls of fury!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kj @ 12:14 am

I actually spent  my saturday night watching this movie. Hmmm What can I say. If you can spare it, don’t watch it. It was like a cheap rip of Mortal Kombat and Kickboxer (Van Damme)  but with ping pong.  (Mortal Kombat) where all the world best contestants are invited to play Ping Pong for Mr Feng. In order to be invited, you to be noticed and be worthy of a competitor to Mr Feng. (Kickboxer) So the main guy learns the art of Ping pong from a chinese master and plays a challenger called “Dragon”. Win’s (obviously) and gets an invitation.

Cloverfield Movie review found on the net. Worth sharing.

Special to The Washington Post

Brace yourselves. It’s become something of a common occurrence, but every few years Hollywood feels a compulsive need to blow up New York. Why? People in the industry apparently need to get something out of their systems, perhaps a lingering bitterness over never having seen “Cats.” With CGI, of course, it’s become child’s play to blow the head off the Statue of Liberty, reduce the Brooklyn Bridge to rubble and turn Midtown into a moonscape. All, of course, in good fun.

Whether one finds “Cloverfield” fun, however, may depend on one’s susceptibility to cerebral hemorrhage. The conceit in this Drew Goddard-scripted, Matt Reeves-directed and J.J. (”Lost”) Abrams-produced thriller is that the entire attack and destruction of the city is seen through the viewfinder of a Manhattan partygoer’s camera. Imagine a wedding video shot by the drunkest guy at the reception — who at the same time is under attack by a lumbering-yet-slithering 90-foot tadpole, from which molt crablike man-eating subordinates. (Bride or groom? We don’t know . . .)

Deter Season 3

Filed under: News and Articles — Kj @ 11:57 pm

Early and late last year (’07), I started to watch a TV Show called Dexter. Now, this show had me hooked. In my opinion its better then any crime investigation tv serials to date. NCIS, CSI (all of America), many others I cannot recall, are no where near as well thought out and well plotted TV show.

dex.jpgBased on Jeff Lindsay’s novels Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter this crime thriller follows Dexter Morgan. Dexter is a forensic blood spatter expert for the Miami Dade Police Department. He is the main support for his sister. He has a steady girlfriend, with two kids who adore him. He also has an active “night life”. Based on a code instilled in him by his foster father, Harry, he hunts down people who have escaped justice and makes sure they don’t get away with a crime again.

Season 1 and 2 seemed to have completed the story. But whilst I was surfing on the net, I came across an article where the Hot topic is, Season 3 of Dexter.

Wedding Daze - Movie review.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kj @ 12:14 am

This movie is also known as “The Pleasure of Your Company”.
Wedding Daze (UK) (USA) (new title)
The Next Girl I See (USA) (new title)
Starring Jason Biggs (American Pie) and Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers)

This movie was weird. It had slight funny moments, but weird (in a refreshing new kind a way). The acting by Isla fisher and Jason Biggs was well played. It’s basically about a guy who goes out on a limb to propose to his girlfriend and the night of the proposal, she dies of  heart attack. (more…)

Class Coder

Filed under: C# Coding — Kj @ 3:58 am

Download Link

I am a C# Developer working for a Financial Institution. I am currently involved in writing a Data Analysis engine that makes use of existing excel workbooks. (There are so many workbooks with vital information).  Even though I program in an OO language and  the use of inheritance, there is a lot of  repetitive coding. To help me code faster, and keep my consistent in coding, i have created this excel Workbook to write code.

Worksheets:

Classcoder:
Type in the fieldname in Column A  and it will generate the property Get/Set statements in C#

DataSetCode:
Type in field names in column A and it generate the DataTable column add statements

SP Params:
Type in field name matching that of SP input parameters and it will create the code for Data Params for ADO.NET
Refer below for example:

jetDBParam.Direction = ParameterDirection.Input;
jetDBParam.Value = string pmapid,;
jetDBParam.DbType = DbType.Int32;
jetDBParam.ParameterName
=@mapid;
dataParams.Add(jetDBParam);

Women are Evil

A husband and wife were sitting around one day drinking a bottle of wine.
The husband turns to his wife and says, “I bet you can’t tell me something
that will make me both happy and sad at the same time.”

After thinking about it a few minutes the wife looks at her husband and
says, “Your pecker is bigger than your brothers!”

Director
Ram Gopal Varma
Release Date
Release Date Unknown

Not a long time ago, Ram Gopal Varma was embroiled into legal issues regarding copyright violation when he remade Sholay as Aag without buying the rights from the Sippys. Now RGV gets into legal hassles once again in connection with the copyrights of Sarkar Sequel .It may be recalled that the 2005 film Sarkar directed by Ram Gopal Varma was jointly produced by Sahara Motion Pictures and K Sera Sera. However, soon after, the two parted ways and Ramu expressed his desire to make a sequel to the hit film.
However that did not go well with K Sera Sera as they claimed to have held the rights of the film.However, Ramu claimed that he was the sole owner of the rights of the film. In a public notice Ram Gopal Varma clarified, “The Sarkar concept and story was and continues to belong to me as the original author of the story; and there are documents to support the same.” However, K Sera Sera too makes the same claims. “All the copyright in the feature film Sarkar vests in K Sera Sera Productions and completely belong to K Sera Sera Productions only. There are various documents in support of the claim of K Sera Sera Productions Ltd”, said Amar Panghal, Director of K Sera Sera Productions in his public notice.He goes onto add, “As far as the feature film Sarkar 2 or Sarkar Raj is concerned, the same is a sequel of the said feature film Sarkar .
